ABOUT AES MAINTENANCE

AES Maintenance was launched in January 2008 to provide specialist Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Engineering Skills to the Building Services sector. Since our inception we have developed a strong working relationship with several service providers and end clients.

AES Maintenance works with several different companies in the fields of Facilities Management, M&E Contractors, Local Authorities, Landlords, Tenants and Owner Occupiers.

We have a dedicated team of HVAC Engineers and Technicians who work on nationwide basis, conducting maintenance, call outs and remedial works, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

We also have a dedicated projects team to survey, engineer and install new or retrofit small to large air conditioning systems including energy efficient Chillers, CRAC Units, VRV/ VRF and Fresh Air Systems. We also offer a ductwork manufacturing and installation facility, together with the removal, workshop repair and reinstallation of Versatemp units.

AES Maintenance is REFCOM and Gas Safe registered and has also attained the Construction Line and Safe Contractor approved status.

Our Staff

Bob Young, Director

Bob has been in the HVAC industry for over 40 years working across corporate, industrial, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors, combined with a wealth of engineering applied experience Bob has been involved with design and selecting applications for all types of HVAC systems. Bob started his career with a 3 year apprenticeship in refrigeration progressing into higher education gaining the OND and HNC in Mechanical engineering, further to this Bob studied a business leadership course funded by the government. Throughout Bob’s career he has been on the majority of manufacturing courses for applied applications, sales, selection and control strategies with companies such as HiRef, Daiken, Carrier and Denco.

Bob has 3 grown up children, loves spending time on the Golf course with his Wimbledon golf buddies, taking the occasional break to Spain for some rest and relax with his partner and enjoys meals out with friends and family.

Rae Young, Director

Rae has 20+ years’ experience working within the corporate services sector, with the last 13 years being based within the HVAC sector. During the last 13 years of working within the industry Rae has had experience of many different disciplines including Installations, Remedial Works and Maintenance. Within the role of Service Director, Rae has a responsibility for field and office based personnel, financial management, purchasing and business development, as well as a myriad of other responsibilities the role requires.

Rae is a keen rugby fan and has played rugby himself at county level.

Russell Chandler, Director - Business Development & Projects

Russell is an ambitious, entrepreneurial Director with a passion for innovation and service. Highly experienced at communicating at all levels with 20 years’ experience of building services, project management and asset management within Commercial, Industrial, Pharmaceutical and Nuclear Sites, MOD sites and Facilities Management organisations.; delivering challenging and critical projects in sensitive environments.

Russell has studied at Westminster University gaining two degrees in Facilities Management and Building Engineering, he is married with two small children, a puppy British bulldog and weekends are taken up with Ice Hockey, off roading and socialising with friends/family.

Ellie Fielder, Office Coordinator

Ellie joined AES Maintenance Ltd in 2016 as ‘Service Coordinator’ and now has an all-round knowledge of the company from Scheduling, Admin / PA Support, Procurement, Contract Renewals and to the current day is now the ‘Office Coordinator’ responsible for Finance / Service Support across the whole business.

When not at work, Ellie enjoys spending time with her horse and socialising with Friends & Family.

Marisa Flint, Finance Manager

Marisa has been with AES from the beginning and has worked with Bob Young for over 20 years, Marisa has fulfilled every role within the Company, from Scheduling, Admin / PA Support, Procurement, Business Development, Sales and to the current day managing the Financials / Payroll and HR.  Marisa comes with a wealth of experience in running the business and is very much the heart of business, ensuring everybody is accountable for their daily tasks and responsibilities.

When not at work, Marisa likes to keep fit and active, enjoys going to the Theatre, Music Concerts and Travelling around the World with Friends & Family.

Carlton Barnard, Head of Projects

Carlton has been in the project arena for over 30 years, he has a wealth of experience in delivering multi-disciplined projects for service providers, specialising in HVAC installations in the critical environment. Carlton is qualified in both electrical and mechanical engineering which compliments his project management skill set, the projects delivered have been in the construction industry, commercial, corporate, critical environment and pharmaceutical sectors.

Carlton is married with two young children and you will find him at his boat club in his spare time or rowing miles down the Thames for fun.

Steve Cass, Service Manager

Steve joined AES Maintenance in May 2020 as Service Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day service operations with AES. With 23+ years working in the HVAC Sector, Steve comes with a wealth of knowledge of all aspects of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Steve is a member of the Institute of Refrigeration, having worked his way from installing Splits, Refrigeration and VRV system, through to repairing Water Chillers and Large commercial HVAC plant. More recently Steve has worked as a Specialist Critical Cooling Contracts manger and has been within management for over 10 years, holding several management qualifications including ILM Level 5 and IOSH Managing Safely.

Steve is married with 2 daughters and when not at work enjoys travelling with them round the world to watch F1, Rugby and enjoys playing golf occasionally.
