This week 2 of our senior chiller engineers have carried out the replacement of an aged, obsolete Carrier ProDialog controller, install a modern Carel system. As part of the works, the refrigerant charges were weighed out of 2 chillers and leaks repaired, before they were upgraded to new, lower GWP alternative refrigerant – R453a. AES have commissioned the chillers back to full operation and handed them over to the client.
Also, as part of the same works, 12 condenser fans were replaced and 4 more moved to a new location, fresh sea air does not agree with them!!! Hopefully these new motors will provide trouble free operation for a few more years.
