Chiller Replacement
AES Maintenance Ltd was tasked with replacing two chillers running on obsolete R22 refrigerant gas and replace with newer units. After discussions it was agreed to install 2x 90kw heat recovery units which provides ample cooling for the critical environment, due to the ongoing site upgrade project plan using these units will allow the site to utilise the heat recovery circuit which makes this an effective, energy efficient and future proof solution.
The project included the following items
- Installing temporary chillers for the duration of the works.
- Freezing the pipework on the existing pipework allowing us to cut in 2 points with valves to connect to temporary chiller.
- Safe removal and disposal of existing chillers.
- Placing new HR Chillers and manufacturing pipework to suit system.
- Bringing online new chillers and commissioning.
- Flushing and dosing CHW water to ACoP (L8)
- Install trace heating, vapor seal and lagging to pipework.
- Connecting new chillers to BMS.
